The founders of The Berni Bean Coffee Co. come from a family in Costa Rica that has been in the coffee industry for generations. They were born and raised in Costa Rica, enjoying specialty coffee but most importantly finding a passion for it. It’s our joy to share our family tradition and the perfect cup of coffee to wake up the world.
From bean to cup
To be considered specialty, coffee must score at least 80 out of 100. The higher the score, the more balanced, complex, and flavorful the cup. And it goes far beyond taste—the SCA evaluates the entire journey, from the quality of the green bean to how it’s grown and processed.
